Frequently Asked Questions
An average-sized home can take 1 to 2 hours to clean depending on the amount of soil, stains, pet treatments, and overall setup. We schedule cleaning time based on your home size and requested work. If you need to add any tasks, please let us know in advance. We schedule an arrival window to account for delays.
We provide our rates over the phone, but without an in-person evaluation, we cannot quote the exact cost. There are many factors that can affect the cleaning process, such as the level of soil, stains, pet urine or odor, and setup. For an exact quote, you can request an in-home estimate without any obligation to clean. A minimum charge applies to all cleanings. We do not provide phone estimates for mold, biohazard, or emergency water services and are subject to a service call fee.
Drying time varies, typically 4 to 8 hours, based on the cleaning method, carpet thickness, humidity, heat, and airflow. Pet treatments & heavy traffic may result in a longer dry time. Furniture may be dry in 3 - 4 hours.
Fans are not always left on site, but can be left if the technician determines it is helpful for the job. Subject to availability - we use them for water damage jobs as well.
We recommend you try and stay off the carpet as much as possible until dry. If you need to walk on it, wear clean rubber-soled shoes, but avoid going barefoot or allowing pets on it until dry (foot oils and pets can cause the carpet to get dirty faster, but it is not harmful to you or your pets). Also, be careful not to slip when moving from a damp carpet to a hard surface.
There is no fee to cancel before your appointment. However, for no-shows, or if the cleaning location is not ready or accessible during the window and we need to reschedule, you may be charged a minimum of $150+tax.
Every home is lived in and cared for differently year over year, so the cleaning price may vary from one visit to another. It could be due to the amount of furniture or placement in your rooms, a new pet, accidental spills, wetter weather and mud got tracked in. We determine our rates based on the current condition of the carpet. Although our prices may increase, we strive to provide exceptional services at affordable rates.
Our current location does not have space to efficiently clean rugs. However, we can come to your home to clean them if there is sufficient space. We do offer limited chair cleaning services at our location, but you will need to schedule an appointment in advance. Unfortunately, we cannot accept same-day drop-offs.
Yes! All of our cleaning products are safe for your family and pets. While all chemicals come with some caution, we are using them in accordance with their specifications. If you are sensitive to fragrances, we offer fragrance-free options. We do not use just water and we never reuse dirty water (yes, this has come up more than a few times).
We are happy to move some furniture like sofas, tables, and chairs for you, but there is an additional cost for this service. We are unable to move fragile items such as china cabinets, electronics, pianos, etc. We kindly request that you remove any breakable items from the furniture that you want us to move, and avoid stacking personal belongings on top. See our terms and conditions page for more info.
The purpose of fabric protectors is to protect your carpet or upholstery from staining and prolong the life of the fabric, which they do very well if properly applied. Response time for getting a spill cleaned up to prevent staining is approximately 15 minutes with fabric protectors and less time without. Fabric protectors won’t prevent your carpet or upholstery from getting dirty but it can give you more time to address the spills.
Yes! We offer specialized cleaning products and methods to minimize or eliminate pet urine and odors. Because dogs and cats do not sweat, their urine contains alkaline salts that absorb moisture from the air. As a result, pet urine never really dries up, and it becomes a breeding ground for bacteria that cause odor, staining, and discoloration. Minor and moderate conditions can be handled with a combination of surface treatments or saturation into the carpet and pad. Major conditions may require pad replacement and floor treatment in addition to treating the carpet. Pet oils (causing that doggy or kitty smell) are also treated the same way. Pet odor is often difficult to fully eliminate, and we can't guarantee complete removal.
If you have or had a pet, we may inspect your carpet by using a UV light or "black light" along with a moisture sensor to determine if there is any urine and its location. Many pet owners are unaware of the extent of urine until they see it with a black light. Knowing that there were pets in the house helps us prepare for the cleaning process and avoid any surprises for both the customer and our carpet technicians.
